Sunblock
Made by Suntegrity · Chosen by Formula Flawless
The cleanest sunblock I have found.
I don't make it. My friend Tricia Trimble does. She created Suntegrity in honor of her mom, whom she lost to melanoma, and sixteen years on she still has not compromised on a single ingredient. Sunblock is not my focus, so I am proud to send you to the person who does it best.
Read Tricia's story
Years after losing her mom, Tricia started reading the labels on the sunscreens she had been using and recommending to everyone she loved, and found them full of ingredients she did not want anywhere near her skin. So she made her own, in her mother's honor. She sold her home to fund it, and launched Suntegrity in 2010.
Every formula protects with non-nano zinc oxide instead of chemical UV absorbers. No parabens, no phthalates, reef-friendly, and they feel lovely on the skin, soft and light rather than greasy or chalky.
As for why I don't make my own: in the US, sunscreen is regulated as a drug, and every formula has to go through its own testing before it can carry an SPF. My work is fresh skincare, made in small batches and shipped at full strength. Making a sunblock just to have one on the shelf would not serve you.
